Keep one baseline loadout, change one ability or order at a time, and judge the result against the mode that blocks you. A creator’s “best setup” is a useful reproduction target, not a permanent answer. Save the class, stage, gear, ability order and failure point so the result can be checked after a patch.
CAUTION / No individual ability is labeled best without a reproduced current-build test.
CAUTION / A higher combat-power number does not prove that an ability order solves the same failure.
Do this in order
- Choose a single target and write down the current failure point.
- Capture the baseline class, gear, visible power and ability order.
- Change one ability slot or order position.
- Run several attempts and record clear time, survival and consistency.
- Keep, revert or retest based on the measured failure—not the build label.
Start from the failure, not the fashionable build
An ability page should answer why the current run fails. If the hero dies before a long cooldown returns, the problem is different from reaching the time limit with full health. If a burst sequence nearly finishes the target, order and timing may matter. If basic attacks dominate the attempt, an ability swap may be less important than gear or class. Naming the failure prevents a copied build from becoming a ritual.
Current videos show player setups at different progression points, including a World Boss unlock and an advanced overview. They are valuable because the menus and results are visible. They do not control for every item, level or patch. This page therefore uses them as test cases: reproduce the state you can see, note what differs on your account, and record the outcome.
Use a five-field build record
A useful record is small enough to keep but specific enough to rerun. Save the game date or version if visible, class, target, equipment summary and ordered abilities. Add one sentence for the result: where the run stopped, whether the hero survived, and whether the outcome repeated. A screenshot can help, but the written state is what allows another player to compare rather than admire the picture.
Do not hide missing data. If the client does not expose the build number or an ability tooltip is ambiguous, mark that field unknown in your own note. Unknown is different from zero, unavailable or “no effect.” That distinction matters when Early Access changes a tooltip, cooldown or passive.
- Build/date
- Class and target
- Equipment summary
- Ability names in exact order
- Repeatable result and failure point
Change one variable at a time
The cleanest first test is an order swap with the same abilities. It tells you whether the opening sequence or cooldown alignment matters without changing the toolkit. Next replace one slot while holding gear and target stable. If the run changes, repeat it. Critical hits and random item stats can make one attempt look decisive when it is not.
For farming, measure consistency over time. For a stage wall, record the exact enemy or moment. For World Boss, compare damage over the same available interval if the game provides it. For Arena, treat the opponent and passive timing as part of the input. Mixing those modes into one score produces a list that looks precise and answers nobody’s actual question.
Publishable results need a boundary
A result is strong enough to share when someone else can see the input, repeat the action and understand the limit. “This order cleared my current stage three times on Ranger with this equipment” is useful. “This is the only best build” is not, especially four days into Early Access. The title of a YouTube video may use stronger language than the evidence underneath; this guide keeps the conclusion narrower than the headline.
Balance notes should trigger a retest, not an automatic rewrite. The official roadmap says developers are reviewing player feedback and improvements, so current comparisons are expected to move. When a patch touches abilities, presets, combat or economy, this page and any linked class recommendation enter the review queue.
Quick answers
What is the best ability setup?
The current public evidence does not support one setup for every class and mode. Use the five-field test on the target blocking you.
How many attempts are enough?
Enough to see whether the result repeats rather than depending on one lucky sequence. Record the count and avoid claiming more certainty than the sample supports.
Can I share my result?
Yes. The Decision Desk stores the chosen task in the URL, and the guide sharing controls create a link back to this versioned method.
